Trailblazing and timely, the creation of PANATAV is a most welcomed addition to the audiovisual translation mediascape, not only because it raises the visibility of our profession but also, and most importantly, because it lends a voice to media translators in the Americas and serves as a focal point for networking. Forming associations of this nature is never an easy task and the organisers should be congratulated for their efforts and enthusiasm. No doubt, this opens the doors for fruitful dialogue with other similar associations in Europe and elsewhere in the world. I wish PANATAV all the very best in the years to come and hope to celebrate many happy returns.”

"Having been an Audiovisual Translator for over 25 years, and having been involved in various associations supporting AV translators throughout this time, I believe there is a need to unite professionals within the Americas, focusing particularly on working conditions and visibility. The European associations are all united under the AVTE umbrella, and we look forward to fruitful collaborations with the newly formed PANAVAT.
